In solidarity with Ukraine

I bought this chart from a Ukranian designer to help support her as she and her fellow countrymen go through this horrible war that Russia started.  It was an honor to buy and to stitch this piece.  I need to figure out how I want to finish this.  It is to big to make into a pillow for my basket.

Around the World in 80 Days by Little House of Needleworks

In early February I had finished my February Christmas ornament (I am stitching one ornament per month) and was looking for a new start.  Bob and I had started watching the PBS series Around the World in 80 Days and as I was looking through my charts for something to grab me, I found this chart and decided it was a perfect time to start it.  It was a gift from Cathryn at KYKS many years ago and I put it aside when I got it because there were several mistakes on the chart and I didn't feel like dealing with them at the time.  I loved stitching this and there are several mistakes but I won't tell and I don't think many people will notice.

Fabric:   16CT Colour & Cotton Chamomile
Floss:  DMC
1st Stitch:  02/02/2022
Last Stitch:  03/29/2022
For:  Me
Notes:  I did make several mistakes on this mostly on the red house on the left.
The door is wrong, the windows are wrong and so is the trim around the house.
Doesn't matter to me I love how it turned out.

Tomorrow I start April's Christmas ornament.  I am going to do another Lizzie Kate from Tiny Tidings XIV.  I am also going to find the freebie from Whilst Iris Naps and stitch either Happy Easter or Welcome Spring for Barbara.  Shirley had to open her mouth and tell Barb I had stitched Happy Easter for her.  So now I feel obliged to stitch something for Barb.

I've been fully finishing

This is my current WIP - Little House of Needleworks - Around the World in 80 Days.
Bob and I were watching the PBS series Around the World in 80 Days and I was going through my stash looking for some thing new to start and came across this and decided it was the perfect time to start it.  It has been in my stash for a long time.  I got it as a gift from Cathryn at KYKS many years ago and never had a desire to stitch it until now.

Designer:  Whilst Iris Naps - Design:  2021 Spring Freebie Carrots - Fabric:  16CT Touch of Gray - Floss:  DMC called for - 1st Stitch:  02/10/2022 - Last Stitch:  02/16/2022 - For:  Me  - Notes:  Olympic Start

I'll explain the "Olympic Start.  Once the Olympics started, I decided to that I would stitch on a small each afternoon while I watched them on TV.  I would start a project and stitch it until it was finished and then start a new one.

Fabric:  16CT Touch of Gray
Floss:  DMC
1st Stitch:  02/20/2022 - Last Stitch: 02/27/2022
For:  Me
Notes:  Last Olympic start
I switched DMC612 (which I didn't have in my floss stash) to DMC 4140.  4140 may have been a mistake but I wasn't going to frog that 3rd bunny and redo him.

Designer:  Pineberry Lane  - Design:  Little Shamrocks - Wee Lassies - Fabric:  18CT White - Floss:  DMC - 1st Stitch:  03/07/2022 - Last Stitch:  03/15/2022 - For:  Me

My finishing on these was with the help of Vonna the Twisted Stitcher.  I swear every time I watch one of her youtube videos I learn something new.  But she would yell at me because my corners aren't crisp and pointed like hers.

I have one more Spring stitch that I need to finish.  Started on it just before lunch but I think I will let it sit until tomorrow or Monday before working on it again.

Back from the framer at last

This is Liney & Threads Family and Friends 2020 SAL.  I finished stitching this in December 2020 and took it to the framer to be framed December 2020 or January 2021.  The shop went out of business at the end of March 2021.  The owner of the shop had ordered the frame before she closed and said she would frame it when she received the frame.  I finally got the framed piece back yesterday
