WOW

Do you believe there is only 1 more day in June and 2009 will be half over? Where has the time gone? This is a 4 day week which is just wonderful. Saturday is July 4th our Independence Day. We are having my Sister and BIL over for a cookout to celebrate. Not much of a celebration I know.

B worked out in the yard all afternoon yesterday. I had to threaten him that I was going to eat dinner without him if he didn't clean up and come in. He doesn't start doing anything until 11:30 or so and then thinks nothing of working until 7:00 or so en the evening. Well that doesn't work with me. I don't want to be in the kitchen until 9:00 or after.

Jessi leaves for Europe on Wednesday. I can't believe a 10 year old going to Europe for 19 days. This is with an organization called People to People. I know she will have a great time. It is such an honor that she was picked for this.

I know you are probably bored with my ramblings but I don't feel like working and I have to look busy so this is an easy way to look like I am typing something important.

I finished Hinzeit Mini Block Wine yesterday. I sat out on the back porch and finished the back stitching and then while Bob was fixing dinner I attached the charms. I think I will take it to the LNS on Friday and have her frame it. I am also posting pictures of my 2 remaining WIP, the P38 Lightning which I made good progress on this week and Lizzie Kate's 2009 Boo Club which I love stitching. I picked out another little project to start to relieve me of the stress of the P38 yesterday. It is Lizzie Kate's Just Married. My oldest great nephew is getting married next August so I think I will stitch this for them. I just need to find out how to spell her name.

Only have to work 4 days this next week as we have off Friday to celebrate July 4th. We are going to have Shirley and Rich for a cookout on Saturday. Other than that there is nothing new in my life.

Update on my WIP and a finished No Sew Cube

Here are pictures of my 3 WIP and I made the SMO/Love Alphabet into a no sew cube. It was a tough week for stitching. I stitched a whole section of the P38 in the wrong color and had to frog it and then I found a mistake in the Lizzie Kate Halloween Boo Club and had to frog it. Then yesterday I found a small mistake in the Wine and had to frog it. I am 3 for 3. lol Everything is all fixed now.

My niece and her daughter were here from Syracuse for the weekend. DH and i went to my sisters for dinner on Saturday night and then I went shopping with C and S on Sunday afternoon. It was so nice to see them. I got L's graduation picture. It is unbelievable that she will graduate from high school next June. I remember when she was born. She is getting older but I'm not. lol

They are coming Friday to install A/C in my office. If it stays like it is right now maybe I won't need A/C this summer. It has been such a cool wet June. I think I am beginning to grow web feet.

WIP

Here are my 3 WIP as of this morning. Well actually as of right now. I haven't stitched all weekend. Yesterday I was busy with getting things ready for The Friday Night Group annual picnic and then enjoying the picnic with our friends. Today I got very upset with Bob this morning and have been feeling sorry for myself all day. Got to get rid of this funk as life must go on. I did do lots and lots of laundry today if that counts for anything.

Tired, tired, tired

Why am I so tired? I have absolutely no energy. We are having our annual Friday Night Group picnic on Saturday and I should be doing so much at home after work and what do I do. Sit down and watch TV and sleep. I need to clean the bathrooms, make my grocery list, check to see if we have plastic eating utensils.......but no I just am lazy after I clean up the kitchen after dinner. I have been stitching. I finished the 1st of Lizzie Kate's Boo Club (Spooky) charts and started Treats. I also worked on the P38 Lightning for a little while last night. I figure every stitch I put in that is a labor of love since I don't like stitching on it. I am at work now and everyone else is out to lunch. Yeah I have a little while to be lazy. Work has been crazy this week and everyone is miserable.
Have a good hump day......I only have 18.5 more months until retirement.

WIP for this week

Above is my stitching for this week. 1st is Lizzie Kate's Boo Club Spooky. I did a lot of frogging on this one but I also made a lot of progress. Next is the P38. Not a whole lot of progress but I keep plugging away. Friday night I was stitching on it and thought I had a major mistake and would have to frog a lot but last night when I picked it up I hadn't made a mistake. I was ecstatic. Next is a little SMO Christmas ornament I just finished making into an ornament this morning. It was a freebie from several years ago. The last one is Henziet Mini Block Wine. Most of what I stitched on that I did last Sunday. So far it has been a quick and easy stitch and I am thoroughly enjoying it.
