Back from the framer

This is the 1st thing I have ever taken to Michaels to have framed.  I am pleased with it except that I don't like glass over my cross stitch.  I have to do what I have to do.

Cathryn from KYKS sent me this chart many years ago.  I liked it but I just never got around to stitching it.  In February of this year PBS had a Masterpiece Theater of Around the World in 80 Days and I remembered I had this chart.  I pulled it out of my stash and started stitching it.  I did enjoy stitching it.  It has been sitting around in my to be framed box since I finished it on March 30th.  I decided to take to Michaels for framing because it is a small piece and if they made a mess of it I could restitch it.  Although that lawn and ocean was no joke to stitch.  Especially the lawn with all those sheep.

 I stitched him in the afternoons.  Most days I stitched from about 1/2 to 1 hour.  This past Saturday I could smell a finish.  So, I sat down and while I watched the Penn State V Auburn football game I stitched the whole time, Didn't get him finished.  Yesterday I watched the Elvis movie and stitched a lot and still didn't get him done.  I had 3 rows of the right ear to finish up today.  He is FINISHED and I hope Carla likes him.  I am going to look for a black frame and frame him myself.  Sorry he isn't ironed but he just came off the hoop.

 Some progress this week but I didn't stitch on it one night and last night I only stitched for less than an hour.
