Lizzie Kate Be Mine - No Sew Cube

I just finished making this No Sew Cube. It didn't turn our as good as the one I made for Christmas but I still think it is pretty cute. Next time I have to remember to get ribbon with wire so the bow stands up a little. From this picture you can't tell there is any bow on the top but believe me there is. The top picture is from the side so you can see the fabric I used although the pic doesn't do it justice as it is sparkly.

Patchwork Sampler

Parts 10, 11 and 12 of the Catia Dias Patchwork Sampler came out about a week ago and I have already started part 10. I have much of the border done and about half of the block. The block is in shades of plum and I love it.

I finished stitching a Lizzie Kate "Be Mine Valentine" and hope to finish it into a no-sew cube. I have the material I want to use but couldn't fine the right ribbon. Hopefully I will be able to find the right ribbon this weekend. I would like to get it finished so I can display it for Valentine's Day. I am also working on Christmas ornaments. Right now I am stitching a snowman kit on plastic that I have had for several years.

Last Sunday, 1/25 was my birthday. My sisters gave me a purse which I picked out and Bob got me a red jeweled silver cross that I had seen at the Musse D' Orsay in Paris and fell in love with. I wore it the other day to work.

Our construction is almost done. The contractor told Bob he should be out of there by the end of next week. Then we have to get the carpet installed in my room and the cabinets in Bob's airplane room. Hopefully by the end of March our house will be back to normal.

The weather here has been so freaky. We had snow and ice the other night. I didn't try to come to work until 9:30 because the roads were bad. Now I have to park in the parking lot at the top of our driveway and have someone come get me and then take me back up at the end of the day. Our driveway down to the office is a rutted, icy mess. It is actually dangerous.

Part 9 of the Patchwork Sampler is completed

I finished stitching part 9 of the patchwork sampler on Thursday night. I just love the orange in part 9. Not sure why as I am not usually an orange person but for some reason I think the combination of the 4 oranges is stunning. I pulled the floss for another project yesterday, a WW 2 Lightening that I am going to stitch for Bob. Unfortunately I need some DMC Pearle which I don't have. Maybe later this morning I will go to AC Moore and pick some up or I might wait and stop tomorrow on my way home from work. In the meantime I am stitching a PS Snowman Christmas ornament.

Catia Dias Patchwork Sampler Part 8 finished

I finished part 8 of the Patchwork Sampler and as you can see I started part 9. As of today part 9 is about 3/4 finished. I wonder when part 10 will be out.
I have also been working on Christmas ornaments for the greats for Christmas 2009 and have finished stitching 4. WOW only 2 more to go. I am really ahead of the game this year. I actually started on the 5th one this morning.
