One of my favorite quotes is by Walt Disney. "If you can dream it, you can do it." So, I charted it and added a couple of flowers and stitched it.

Cardinal Points - The Gentle Art Designed by Julia Line from Long Dog Sampler
A few months ago, I decided that I wanted to stitch a large project. Something that would take me more than a couple of to stitch. I have been stitching so many small to medium sized projects in the last couple of years. While I can finish the smalls myself I just don't know what to do with the projects that need to be framed since Carolyn at Just Cross Stitch is no longer in business. I keep thinking of taking one to Michael's to see how they do but I keep missing when they have a coupon for framing. I've heard they are really expensive if you don't have a substantial coupon. Anyway that is a long way to say that I have admired Cardinal Points when I see other people stitching and finishing it so I bought the chart and then went on the hunt for all the Gentle Arts floss that I needed. I have finally collected all the floss. Gentle Arts floss has been scarce since the beginning of the Pandemic so you have to be patient when looking for it for a project.
I started stitching this on April 17th, Easter Sunday. I plan on taking a picture every Sunday morning and posting it here to show my slow but steady progress. My plan is to stitch small projects when I stitch in the afternoon and work on Cardinal Points in the evening.

Stitching Finish
I don't know why I started this little guy. But I did and he turned out so cute. Unfortunately, the picture doesn't do him justice, and this is about the 10th or so picture I took.

Miss Sunshine is FFO's
I finished FFOing Stitchy Princess - Miss Sunshine yesterday. See previous post for detains,
This is a grouping of small pillows I stitched in
2019, 2020 and 2021 to commemorate the Australian Wildfires
of 2019 and the Pandemic of 2020 that still goes on today. Some of
these were free patterns that were designed at the beginning of the Pandemic
and others were ones I bought and stitched just to keep busy whil being confined to home
during the worst of the Pandemic.
I did start stitching Cardinal Points on Sunday for my Easter start. It is my plan to take a picture each Sunday and post it here just to see my progress from week to week. I have found that I don't like stitching with one strand of floss. It seems to constantly knot and that drives me crazy. For some reason I also started a Prairie Schooler Christmas ornament the other day. I don't know why I did that since I am supposed to start an ornament on the 1st of each month not in the middle of each month. But he is so cute and very tiny so it won't take me long. I do have a half-baked plan of starting and finishing as many ornaments as I can in July to celebrate Christmas in July. We will see if I actually do that.
I have started FFOing the Lizzie Kate Springtime Sampler I finished the other day but I am not to far into the process.

In solidarity with Ukraine
I bought this chart from a Ukranian designer to help support her as she and her fellow countrymen go through this horrible war that Russia started. It was an honor to buy and to stitch this piece. I need to figure out how I want to finish this. It is to big to make into a pillow for my basket.
My next start is going to be Cardinal Pointe.

A stitching finish and an FFO
