How I spent my Saturday afternoon

I completed the finishing on another Christmas ornament and finished the backstitching on 2011 Prairie Schooler  Santa while listening to an audio book.  It was a wonderful afternoon.  Then we went to my Sister's for dinner.  No cooking for either of us and no cleaning up for me.

I went to Just Cross Stitch in Limerick yesterday and picked up the next chart in the LHN Farmhouse Christmas series.  I think I am going to start the 3rd in that series today.  I really need to get my sewing machine out and start finishing the Early American series by LHN and a couple of other things I have that need finishing.  I also have one more Christmas ornament for the Greats I need to stitch.  I am bouncing between two designs and don't know which one I want to stitch.  I have also started stitching Lizzie Kate February Stamp and I want to stat Prairie Schooler January.  So many things I want to do.

The weather here is suppose to get quite warm during the next week topping off at 90 on Thursday.  We are going from winter to summer.  Not a good thing for Bob and all the spring stuff he needs to do outside.  He hates working out in the really hot weather so I guess it will be another summer of nothing getting done in the way of big projects he has been talking about for the past 4 years.  Now he is talking about having someone come in and reseed or something our lawn which I am totally against.  He is not spending all that money when we have deer running through the lawn doing so much damage as far as tearing up the grass.

I am late posting this finish.  For the last two weeks I have been down and out with bronchitis and an upper repertory  infection.  Last week Bob got sick also so our house has not been a happy place.

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter and if you are on the east coast you are enjoying the snow we are getting this morning.  Yes it is April 2nd and we are getting snow.  I have a Dr. appointment at 1:00 but I am seriously thinking of canceling it.  I don't like to drive in this stuff but I don't want to take the chance of falling on a slipper parking lot or sidewalk.  Been there, done that.
