I hate my job

I can't tell you how much I hate my job. I am so tired of nothing pleasing these guys I could scream. I do things one way for months and months and then yesterday I am told I am doing it wrong. In the meantime they only pulled two of the invoices that according to them I did wrong when there were about 4 more in the pile that I had done the same way. I know I am making no sense but I just needed to get this off my chest. I really don't know if I can make it for another 19 months. Bob said last night at dinner that if I find it to much I should just quit and apply for Social Security. I am going to try but if it gets to be to stressful I may just leave before the end of 2010. At least I have an out if I need it.

I haven't been stitching very much since I finished the SanMan Original / Love Alphabet piece. I did start Lizzie Kate's Boo Club Halloween yesterday morning and went back to stitching P38 on Wednesday night. I get so frustrated stitching on the P38 that I have decided to just work on it for an hour a night and then stitch something easier for an hour so last night I started a Heinzet Wine. Hopefully I will be able to keep plugging on the P38 as it does look pretty good so far. I will try to take a picture over the weekend so you can see my progress.

It is Friday so that is always a good thing.

Have a great day.

It has been a few weeks

It has been a few weeks since I last posted.

I just have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my train trip to Virginia. When I got on the train in Philadelphia it was rather crowded so I asked this woman if anyone was sitting with her and if there wasn't could I sit there. We talked the entire trip until she got off in Washington DC. She was just a delightful person and reminded me so much of my MIL.

Once in Virginia S and I had a wonderful time. Sunday, which was Mother's Day, we went to church in the morning, Sue drove me around to show me some things in Hampton, and then we went to her cousin Lorraine's home for dinner. Lorraine's husband cooked the dinner with other people bringing side dishes and desserts. It was a wonderful dinner. We went to Montecello on Monday despite the rain. We took a tour of the house and then walked around the gardens. It was beautiful, especially the gardens. Tuesday we went to Virginia Beach just to walk the boardwalk which is cement not the wooden boardwalks we have at the Jersey Shore. We sat a couple of times and just talked and people watched. Wouldn't you know that I got sunburned on the back of my neck and my forearms. I never thought about taking sun screen, how stupid can I be knowing how bad I burn. Wednesday we went to Williamsburg and had a wonderful day just walking around and seeing the sights. Thursday she drove me home and Thursday evening we met Joann and Grace at Collegeville Diner for dinner. I haven't seen the 2 of them for a couple of years and it was nice sitting down and talking to them.

Now I am back to reality and back to work. I just keep telling myself I only have 19 more months to work and then I can retire.

I have finished another CCS project. It is a combination of the May SAL from SMO and Love Alphabet by Helga Mandl. I loved the border of the SMO May SAL but I didn't like the first two corner fill-ins she posted. Then I saw another member of SMO filled the corners with a Love Alphabet by Helga Mandl using the Letters LOVE and I loved the way that looked so that is what I did. I now would like to stitch another one using red and green floss and spelling NOEL. The picture of the finish is below. I still have to put my initials and date on it but that seems to be something I forget all the time. I think I am going to make into a no-sew cube. It will make a good Valentine decoration.

I am off to Virginia

I am leaving for Virginia in a few hours to visit Sue. Bob is taking me to the train station in North Wales and I am taking the train to 3oth Street Station and then from there I get the Amtrak train to Newport News, VA. Sue and her neighbor are picking me up at the train station there. I am really nervous. about this trip. I have never done anything like this before and I feel a little, well actually a lot, intimidated.

Yest I have a couple of stitching projects all kitted up to take with me. I should have lots of time to stitch on the 6 hour train ride. That is if I can stitch on the train. I have trouble stitching on a plane and that is smooth not rolling like a train. Oh well I also have a book and a puzzle book with me also.

Sue has a full week planned for us. Well actually it isn't a week. She is bringing me home on Thursday as she has some banking business to do up here.

See you when I get back.

Love Letters from the Chocolate Cat

This is Love Letters a freebie from The Chocolate Cat. It is stitched on a piece of mystery Aida either 14 or 16 count I had in my fabby drawer. The floss I used is SSS Paradise Plum. It is almost the same color as CJ wore as my Matron of Honor 24 years ago. I want to get it framed but it will have to wait until I see how much the Catia Dias piece is going to cost me. I have several pieces in a drawer that I would like to get framed but I just don't know when. I am still working on the P-38 but haven't made much progress. I have also started 3 others. One is a San Man Original May SAL which I have started and then found out today there was a mistake in the original chart Sandy posted on her Motherboard so I have to compare the old chart with the new one and see if I can spot the mistake. I have also kitted up a Hinziet Wine to take with me on the train on Saturday.

I think I will go turn on the TV and start stitching on the P-38. Maybe I can get a couple of hundred stitched in tonight.
