Some Feathered Friends

For the last couple of weeks we have had a wren next on our back porch. Here are some pictures my DH took of them. You can actually see the babies in a couple of the pictures. They were driving me crazy while there were there with all the noise but now that they are gone I miss them.  The last picture is of a hummingbird at our feeder which hangs from our back porch.  It is so much fun to sit there and watch the hummers come and feed.  Click on the Hummingbird picture to make it larger so you can really see him.  He is beautiful.

This makes 8 ornaments I have stitched.  I am currently stitching #9.  I need to take some time and get finishing these. 

LHN Sunflower Inn stitched on 16 Ct Potato Aida using the threads call for in the chart.  I love this one and I think I have fallen in love with LHN.  Guess I will have to get some more to stitch in the very near future.

4th of July

Yes I know it is the 5th of July but I was lazy yesterday.  I hope you all had a wonderful day enjoying family and friends or just being lazy like Bob and me. 

I got to spend some time with my sister, her daughter and 2 of her grandchildren on Saturday.  It would have been great except that my sister went off on one of her tirades about this daughter.  CJ doesn't live up to my sisters expectations, therefore, there is something majorly wrong with her.  My sister was crying and then getting angry at me because I didn't have anything to say.  She doesn't like when you disagree with her and I don't know how to nicely tell her she is being foolish for judging C the way she does.  Oh well enough of my venting.  It was fun seeing C and her two kids.  The kids are 22 and 19. lol

Friday night my dishwasher died so yesterday we went to Sears and ordered a new one.  Hopefully the installer will call today and be able to come install it tomorrow as Bob took a vacation day so he could relax.  Yea right, the air conditioning people are coming to look a the A/C in my office.  It isn't working quite right,  he tree people are coming to spray the trees and please, please, please they will be coming to install the new dishwasher.  He also wants to go to the doctor's office to get a script for blood work. I think he won't have time to do much relaxing.

We are in for a week of hot weather.  Tomorrow it is suppose to be 100 or over. 

Please pray for me on Wednesday.  I am suppose to have a meeting at 2:00 with my bosses for a quick review and a discussion of my future.  I hope they lay me off.  The other day  I made photocopies all my evaluations in my personnel folder as I never made copies for myself.  I figure if they fire me I can prove through the evaluations that except for a few little things they never gave me a bad evaluation.  Just in case when I apply for UC they appeal it.  They did with another employee and lost because they had nothing in writing except for one reprimand that he was doing anything wrong.  With the reprimand they never followed up and gave him any follow-up on how to improve.

Now that I have finished all the chores I had planned for today I plan on relaxing for the rest of today.
